Olga was a very creative individual throughout her life, applying herself passionately to gardening, knitting, sewing and even Bunka. Strangely, she did not focus on painting until she was 60 years of age when her interest turned to water colours. Being an avid gardener, Olga was afforded much subject material and opportunity to draw inspiration from. Initially, she experimented on her own, later deciding to attend art classes to further her understanding of the techniques involved. In the following years Olga painted over 200 works before she stopped painting at 80 yrs. of age. She passed away at 85. Olga was a fine example of how one can take on serious endeavours and produce meaningful work at most any point in life.
We hope her work inspires you and that you enjoy our Olga Ramsden art show. Feel free to leave a comment if you are so inclined.
